We trained a little over 20 teachers and 30 students on computer basics, Internet and database training content access as well as conferencing tools. Based on only 3 months of network operation at the time of writing this paper, initial feedback is very positive.

Many teachers are using the system to improve their courses. Students are using it to do more exercises than normally available from their handbooks. Average usage time is 2 hours per session, twice a week. All users use the system primarily to access the Internet. A common interesting feedback is that it gives them a feeling of finally being connected to the real world. Most users are also using the training content database. The two major complaints are the Internet (satellite) connection reliability and the limited number of computers available to access the Internet.
We have also experimented the following “live” conferences whereby one teacher was handling two classes simultaneously. Remote students feedback has been very positive whenever schools were located inside the same wireless network, claiming quality was almost as good as having the teacher present.
